Student Eligibility Rules

Student licenses are available to students currently enrolled at an academic institution. Licenses must be installed on student owned computers. Commercial, instruction, teaching and use of the licenses for research purposes are not permitted. Students in a graduate/post-graduate program whose work involves academic research should purchase the Maple Graduate Student Research License instead.

Graduate Research licenses are available to students currently enrolled in a graduate/post-graduate program at an accredited academic institution, and whose work involves academic research. Commercial, instruction, and use of the licenses for teaching purposes are not permitted. Licenses must be installed on student owned computers.

Student eligibility may be verified by Maplesoft. Customers not in compliance will be responsible for the full commercial price of the product.

Licencing Options

Some student products give you a choice of license types:

Annual License:

Annual subscription, paid automatically once per year.

Automatic updates and new versions throughout the subscription period.

Requires an active subscription. If the subscription is not renewed, the product will no longer be usable.

Standard License:

One-time purchase, product license does not expire.

Includes a 1-year membership in the Elite Maintenance Program (EMP), which provides updates and new versions for the first year.

After the first year, EMP must be renewed to continue receiving updates and new versions. Without an active EMP subscription, product is retained, but no new releases will be provided.

Elite Maintenance Program (EMP):

Annual subscription, paid automatically once per year.

Provides the latest versions of your Maplesoft product at no extra cost during the active subscription period.
